Article 1: About JP CONCIERGE and passage LLC

  1. JP CONCIERGE is a Japanese hospitality service operated by passage LLC (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”), which is registered in Japan under company number 3010403028626 and the registered office is at 6F Aoyama Marutake Building 3-1-36 Minami Aoyama, Minato-ku Tokyo, and the representative as well as the person in charge of personal information management is Eri SETO.
  2. The Company believes that it is most significant to comply with laws and regulations concerning the protection of personal information (laws, guidelines, and other norms that apply to the protection of personal information; the same shall apply hereinafter). In order for customers and business partners (hereinafter referred to as "customer(s)") to use the services provided by the Company with peace of mind, the Company appropriately collects, uses, and manages such information within the organization.
  3. Therefore, the Company establishes JP CONCIERGE Privacy Policy as below. The Privacy Policy sets forth the policy on the use and management of personal information in relation to the operation of the website https://jpconcierge.com (the Site) and other businesses by the Company.

Article 2: Information the Company may collect

The Company has taken appropriate security measures to prevent personal information of customers from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered or disclosed. The Company limits access to personal information of customers to those employees who have business need to know. The Company may collect and process the following data about customers:

  1. details of transactions customers carry out through the Site and of the fulfilment of orders;
  2. information that customers provide by filling in forms on the Site, including, but not limited to, information provided at the time of requesting or subscribing to any service, or becoming a registered user or if customers enter any promotion sponsored by the Company;
  3. information from surveys that the Company uses for research purposes, if customers choose to respond;
  4. communications customers send to the Company regarding the Site;
  5. and details of customers visit to the Site, including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data and the resources that customers access.

Article 3: IP address and Cookies

  1. The Company may collect information about computers accessing the Site including, where available, IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information to the advertisers as statistical data of browsing actions and patterns which do not identify any individual.
  2. The Company may obtain information about general internet usage by using a cookie file which is stored on the hard drive of computer to help the Company to improve the Site and to deliver a better and more personalized service. The information enables the Company to:
    1. estimate audience size and usage pattern;
    2. store information about preferences of customers, and so allow the Company to customize the Site according to individual interests;
    3. accelerate search;
    4. and recognize when customers return to the Site.
  3. Customers can set whether or not to allow cookies in own browser. However, if customers do not allow the use of cookies, customers may be unable to access certain parts of the Site.

Article 4: How the Company processes and stores personal information

  1. The data the Company collects from customers is processed by staff working for the Company or one of service providers. Such staff may be engaged in, among other things, fulfilling orders, processing payment details, and providing support services.
  2. All information customers provide to the Company is stored on secure servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted using Transport Security Layer (TSL) 1.3. Where the Company has given customers (or where customers have chosen) a password which enables customers to access certain features or parts of the Site, customers are responsible for keeping the password confidential. Customers must not share the password with anyone else.
  3. Upon proceeding to checkout, all data relating to the orders and personal information of customers is passed to servers in encrypted form. As an added protection, the system is designed so that customers are always within secure mode (https) when using the Site.
  4. All payment transactions will be processed on behalf by third party payment providers. It means that financial information of customers to settle transactions are provided directly to a choice of payment providers and are never revealed to the Company. The payment providers operate secure servers to process and authorize payment in encrypted form.

Article 5: Use of personal information

  1. In order to carry out obligations arising from any contracts entered into between customers and the Company and, specifically to fulfil customer orders, the Company may pass on information held about customers to sub-contractors, including delivery service providers. Depending on the requirements of individual orders, such third parties may be based and/or operate outside of Japan.
  2. In addition, the Company uses information held about customers as follows:
    1. to provide customers with information, products or services that customers request from the Company or which the Company feels may interest customers, where customers have indicated that customers wish to be contacted for such purposes by post, email, SMS or other means of electronic communication;
    2. to ensure that content from the Site is presented in the most effective manner for customers;
    3. to allow customers to participate in any interactive features of services, when customers choose to do so;
    4. and to notify customers about changes to services.

The Company takes appropriate measures to protect personal information in accordance with laws and regulations concerning the protection of personal information, and will not disclose or provide personal information in a personally identifiable form to a third party without individual consent, except as permitted by laws and regulations pertaining to the protection of personal information.

Article 6: Provision of information to third parties

The Company is not responsible for the use of personal information that is collected independently at websites linked from the Site, such as websites and services of third parties that can be accessed through the Site. Therefore, the Company accepts no liability or responsibility for the independent provisions and activities of the websites or companies. The Company advises customers to read each privacy policy of the websites.

Article 7: Rights regarding personal information

  1. The Company will respond to individual requests for disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, elimination, suspension of provision to third parties and notification of purpose of use of personal information, withdrawal of consent (where applicable), and disclosure of third-party records, in accordance with laws and regulations pertaining to the protection of personal information. However, if such a request does not meet the requirements provided by laws and regulations pertaining to the protection of personal information, the Company may not respond to the request.
  2. When making a request for disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, elimination, or suspension of provision to third parties of personal information, or other requests, please complete the specified request form in accordance with procedures separately set forth by the Company and send it by mail. In the event of a request for disclosure, the Company will charge a prescribed handling fee, and document delivery postage if (but only when) the case of a request for disclosure in writing. Article 8: Compliance with laws and regulations pertaining to the protection of personal information

The Company may revise the Privacy Policy when laws and regulations pertaining to the protection of personal information are changed or as necessary to improve the protection of personal information. On these occasions, the Company will post the updated Privacy Policy.
